Day 57 – Discouraged

When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.” Psalm 34:17-19

I must admit that recently I have felt discouraged and drained.
This doesn’t happen often, but every now and then I feel my spirit become distracted, discontent and a little burdened.  It happens to all of us.  Perhaps it is at these moments that we require God’s presence the most and that of the fellowship of other believers to surround us.  We need to be reminded in those moments that, like Elijah, we aren’t alone…there are others who can understand what we are going through.

Have you been here before?
Are you in need of encouragement today?
Let me reassure you that God’s presence is with us and that we can go to this well of Life for renewal and refreshment.  Going to God and seeking out these moments is not an indication of weakness, but rather a sign of great strength.

Do not be discouraged today.
The Lord is willing to remove those heavy burdens, and He longs to journey beside you today.  Be encouraged – You are not alone.

Prayer:  Lord hear my cry today.   Please see these heavy burdens in my life right now and I ask that you help me carry then.  Lord I need your light in my life today.  Shine into my darkness and remove that which is not honoring to you.  In your name I pray these things.  -Amen.
