Fear ( A poem)

Fear is a two-faced devil
Stealing the joys from souls
Blanketing the heart with terror
Binding hands to take control.

Don’t let the lies deceive you
he longs to tear you apart
Be brave dear, child of God
for you must guard your heart.

Stand tall then and don’t waver
For His strength will make you bold
But mind fear’s deep mine field
Where the shadowlands are cold.

Yes, fear may sometimes find you
Sometimes cause your heart to doubt
But call out to your Heavenly Father
In a prayer, a whisper or a shout.

Then watch as fear flees in horror
As He comes and saves you there
He’ll hold you close and calm you
He will conquer your every fear!
