‘come back’ (a poem)

‘Come back’…
two words
beckoning
longing
evoking panic
& mourning.
It is the brokenness
the shatteredness
the jagged edges
sharp and cutting
visceral and painful.
‘Come back’
a promise to change
to rearrange
renewal and resurrected
Hope.
